I can tell you with the utmost ease, that Ann-Sofie Back is the most unconventional cliched designers there is today. She is know to represent the total opposite of femininity and glamour. She prides in her mistakes and happily flaunts them.

The bra cup t-shirts, belt chinos, sweater bags, label t-shirts and the tromp l'oeil prints are known signature marks of Ann-Sofie Back. You can tell you are at at Ann's runway show because You wont be seeing the standard thin lanky models but rather her quirky-looking friends and acquintances.

All in all, Ann-Sofie Back is easy-going, versatile and simple.

Ann recieved her BA in fashion design at Beckman's College of Design in Sweden and not long after fled to London to study at Central Saint Martinis, completing her MA in 1998. She then worked as a stylist on fashion shoots for magazines (Purple, Selfservice, Miu Miu clothing, etc)

Ann launched her own label in October 2001 in Paris. 4 shows later and Ann had decided to permnantly station herself in London, in 2005.

• In April 2009; After living 10 years in London, Ann has moved back to her hometown; Stockholm where she opened her OWN-brand store "Hostage Store". Also she is head designer for Cheap Monday.

• Ann has collarborated with TopShop for shoes.
