Andrew Gn SS 2011 Review

Posted by ElenaPearl
SPRING/SUMMER 2011

ANDREW GN

Mood/style:
in observing Andrew GN’s fashion show, you perceive an atmosphere of a romantic and bon-ton past, where getting dressed was an important moment of elegance and careful attention. And it spans from the lace and ruches of the 1800’s to the long dresses and flared pants of the ‘70s. Legs are always covered up, while attention is focused on necklines and elaborate sleeves. Even if suits of a slightly masculine appeal are present, most of the pieces are ultra-feminine, in particular in the final exit, fluttering and all-colourful

Lengths:
exclusively maxi

Colours:
white, black, khaki, chocolate, sandpaper, violet, bordeaux, orange, meadow green, purple, red

Fabrics:
silk, chiffon, lace, cotton, linen, satin, sangallo, lightweight jersey knit, cream, suède

Shapes:
elongated and flared or tapered and mermaid, with some imperial dresses

Accessories:
cloth turbans, large cloth flowers in the hair, cork wedges, pierced leather belts, cloth ribbons tied around the neck, patent leather platform sandals, belts with jewel buckles
