A sure sign that things are heating up in a relationship: When you take your mom to the other side of the world to meet your partner's parents. After celebrating his 36th birthday in Egypt and Jordan (joined by such pals as Naomi Campbell andKevin Connolly), Leonardo DiCaprio jetted off to his girlfriend Bar Refaeli's birthplace of Israel, with his mother Irmelin in tow. And, as would be expected in such situations, DiCaprio introduced his mom to Refaeli's parents.

The meeting of the elders has sparked speculation that the Hollywood actor is finally ready to wed Refaeli, his on-off girlfriend of five years. But sources are insisting that there are no such plans for the immediate future.

Earlier this year, Refaeli, 25, shot down a previous round of engagement rumors. "I am not thinking about getting married," she said. "I'm still young. And when I do get engaged, I might even hide the ring. I want it to remain private."

The couple are said to be staying in the presidential suite at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv and, according to reports, their treatment while in town has been nothing short of statesmanlike, with heavy security and VIP treatment abound.
