GIORGIO GUIDOTTI

The public-relations mastermind behind MaxMara opens the doors to his chic Manhattan pied-à-terre.

Giorgio Guidotti takes in the view in his sunny living room.

"I go out every night when I am in New York," declares the decidedly dapper Giorgio Guidotti. In a time when nesting and dinner parties at home seem to be de rigueur, MaxMara's man-about-town refuses to trade in evenings at the Monkey Bar for television and takeout just yet. "I go to the theater, museums, galleries, movies. It gives me so much energy!" exclaims the luxury fashion brand's 22-year veteran.

The masculine bedroom boasts a chocolate palette.

As the president of worldwide public relations and communications, Guidotti splits his time among homes in Milan, Reggio Emilia (where the company is headquartered), and New York. Yet that didn't stop him from meticulously outfitting his one-bedroom gem on Manhattan's East Side.

Ever-changing photos line the walls.

With the help of interior designer Richard Mishaan, he pieced together a serene, light-filled oasis in the sky.

Fornasetti faces decorate the bathroom.

It's doused in masculinity but overflowing with personality, from whimsical Fornasetti wallpaper in the bathroom to an astrological John Derian decoupage tray (Leo, of course) propped in the bookcase to embroidered G pillows piled on the burnished gold sofa.

Model Alyona Osmanova poses in a MaxMara blouse, skirt, necklace, and sandals.

His signature cuff links.

"I had this vision of American style, which I love," he says. And which he pulled off with Italian panache.
