Katie Holmes' poster for her new miniseries The Kennedys has been unveiled - and at first glance, it would be quite understandable to mistake the actress for another famous figure. Holmes portrays the late Jackie Kennedy in the History Channelspecial (which is set to hit screens in early 2011), and in the promotional artwork for the eight-part series, she bears a striking resemblance to the iconic lady.
Holmes, who celebrated her four-year wedding anniversary with Tom Cruise on November 18, was notably excited to play Kennedy - and particularly enjoyed emulating her style. "I feel so lucky. We have these wonderful seamstresses who are creating beautiful dresses that are obviously replicas of real things [Kennedy] wore," she said, while shooting the series in July. "Her great style was both appropriate for every event that she went to and also classic, and also things that were wearable. I feel really lucky to be playing her."
