To educate clients and non-clients about the spread of HIV, L'Oréal has conceived, in partnership with Unesco, an unusual limited-edition calendar:"Hairdressers Against AIDS".
The stars of the 50-thousand copy calendar, whose proceedings will help financing the Unesco programs for the education on the fight against AIDS, are twelve stunning women, portrayed by British hairstylist and photographer John Nollet.
The shots include an unusual Monica Belluccisporting platinum blonde hair, beautiful Vanessa Paradis looking all ethereal and romantic with floating hair, Audrey Tatou, the naïve Amelie, transformed into a whimsical curly-haired girl, Lou Doillon, Jane Birkin's daughter, looking sexy and sultry like a pin up, Monica Cruz, the sister ofPenelope, sporting jaunty braids.
"I tried to portray the beauty of the soul of these twelve stars. They are all famous, all marvelous, and all incredibly generous - said Nollet -. Images are my kind of language, and what I try to do is make women look beautiful. I am truly glad I had the chance to create for hairdressers worldwide a unique product that will hopefully help the fight against AIDS."
