Elizabeth Hurley used Twitter to confirm her split from husband Arun Nayar.
It follows revelations in the News of the World that Hurley is now involved with Australian cricketer Shane Warne after pictures surfaced of them looking close and kissing at a London hotel.
The newspaper claims the pair spent two nights together at a London hotel earlier this month.
Just hours after the story broke Hurley took to her Twitter page and said it was a “sad day” before admitting that she split from her business tycoon husband Arun Nayar months ago and their family and friends had already been told.
Warne also released a statement on his official website claiming he separated from his wife Simone – the mother of his three children – earlier in the year.
Hurley married Nayar three years ago after meeting in 2002. The couple own a farm in Gloucestershire, UK, where they live with Hurley’s son Damian – whose father is Hurley’s ex and US real estate developer Steve Bing.
