Just how far would you go for your dream job? An education? A relocation? How about a sex change? If the very suggestion makes you scoff in disapproval, perhaps you might want to meet Andrej Pejic.
The famously androgynous model, 19, has declared that he's willing to reassign his gender from male to female, should the opportunity arise to strut on behalf of lingerie giant Victoria's Secret. The photogenic teen, who most recently modeled for Jean Paul Gaultier at Paris Fashion Week, admits that he has no problem with making the adjustment, should it be required.
"Yes, if I was offered a Victoria's Secret contract," he tells London's Daily Telegraph of the possibility of a sex change. "You'd have to, wouldn't you. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way." But, he adds, "At this point I'm comfortable with who I am now."
Serbian Australian Pejic, who says he feels he looks like "a 1960's housewife who ran away to Hollywood", adds of his rapid rise to fame, "I wouldn't have planned any of this or predicted it. But if that is what it takes for me to have a career in this industry, then why not?"
"I always experimented with hair and make-up, probably more extreme than I am now; pink Mohawks and things like that," he adds.
