Big changes in fashion houses: designers going, rumors about possible new entries
There are currently five vacancies for the role of creative director of trademarks that are part of the most important international groups. And at least ten designers who were mentioned until now to fill those spots. Starting from our country, Milan Vukmirovic left the artistic direction of Trussardi 1911 after a four-year partnership and his successor has not yet been designated.

Meanwhile in Paris the Balmain fashion house announced its separation by mutual agreement from Christophe Decarnin, creative director since 2005. The news was not entirely unexpected, Decarnin, in fact, had not attended the last fashion show in Paris due to health problems. Azzaro ceased his long-standing collaboration with Vanessa Seward, the former employee of the founding designer Loris Azzaro, who had replaced her after her death.
In the meantime Cacharel did not renew the contract to Cédric Chalier after only 4 collections. Even in this case it seems that the name of his successor will be announced shortly. After the expulsion of John Galliano from Dior, there are several rumors that accompany the selection of his presumed successor. The most quoted today are: Riccardo Tisci, designer for Givenchy, a fashion house that is part of the LVMH group together with Dior; Peter Dundas, designer for Emilio Pucci (also owned by the French luxury giant); Hedi Slimane, the designer of Dior Homme from 2002 to 2007 and Haider Ackermann, Creative Director of his own brand. And, until a few weeks ago, there were rumors about sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, creators of the brand Rodarte, as possible candidates.
According to rumors, however, Haider Ackermann could take the place of Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi, Creative Directors of Gianfranco Ferré. If the hypothesis were to come true, the two designers would continue to follow the direction of their brand Aquilano.Rimondi for the time being. Again, according to rumors, there's the imminent release of Hannah McGibbons by Chloé.
The only new appointments announced today are those of Alistair Carr who replaces Clare Waight Keller in Pringle of Scotland (the first collection of the new designer will debut in September during the London fashion week) and that of Christophe Lemaire that transfers from Lacoste to Hermès to replace Jean-Paul Gaultier.
