F/W 2011 Forecast

Sashay with a New Hemline:

So after this spring's short plummeting to floor-length, the hemline goes up again, all the way above the knees. 60s is leggy, tremendously! Think about Twiggy, Edie Sedgewick and Jane Birkin. I've heard that Anna Wintour was also quite a girl about legs in the Swinging London. Well, leggy, she still is...So fashionistas, prep your legs for the cold and CHIC!

Stand out in Bold Patterns:

Diana Vreeland said 60s and 20s were her favorite decades, because they were all about the dance and fun. What can be more fun than 60s pop art inspired geomeric prints. Wherever the prints are, on the coat, bag, scarf or skirt (you name it), it always provides dazzling effects. A winter wardrobe all about black and charcoal is passé. Let's welcome the very bubbly-personality geomeric prints.

Finish with Upbeat Accessories:

If you are afraid of getting too literal for a trend, accentuating your outfit with upbeat accessories can be a good idea.

Mid-calf boots represent 60s footwear (along with the Mods low-heels). Designers make it even more exciting with the variety of colors and materials. Mid-calf boots in python from Prada, just marvelous!

Over-sized sunglasses with traffic-stopping-plus-ship-wrecking colors are also great 60s elements to inject into your look.
