SPRING/SUMMER 2011
ELIE SAAB

it was Studio 54 at Elie Saab's Spring/Summer 2011 show, with graceful models rocking the runway in draped gowns and sophisticated pantsuits inspired by 70's glamour. Dove grey suits with cuffed floor length pants shared the catwalk with nip waisted peach dresses punctuated by jeweled belts, resin clutches, and chunky shoes in soft suède. The collection began with nightclub ready skin clinging dresses with chunky gold bracelets and necklaces followed by Saab's sequined and beaded gowns with high slits. The clothes reflected the slightly provocative, elegant, and heady allure of a time when glamour an elegance marked every appearance
