SPRING/SUMMER 2011
FATIMA LOPES
this is surely a collection that focuses on experimenting new cuts and proportions, elaborated through a rather neutral color palette that shifts also towards brighter hues. Shapes are at times sculpture-like and tailored especially for shoulders and necklines but there is also room for more floaty fabrics and soft volumes. Draperies, pleats, ruffles, gatherings, bat-wing sleeves, asymmetry: all is employed to investigate into new shapes featuring a strongly contemporary allure, at times futuristic, where combinations of matching textures prevail
