SPRING/SUMMER 2011
RUE DU MAIL
Mood/style: Martine Sitbon offered a treasure trove of textures for her Spring/Summer 2011 show, sending out multihued shifts alternately accented by sheer, ruched overlays, flecked with feathers, or adorned with ruffles, lace, and shirred ribbon. Lines were clean and close fit, and silhouettes were straight to the point: shifts played next to trapeze trenches and shorts while slim cut pants uplifted black vests with large pockets. To wit: a white shift with tulle coral red overlay accented red round toed pumps, a voile neon yellow sleeveless blouse with ruffled details partnered with a neon green pencil skirt, lace up ties accentuated a halter top black frock, and a white v-neck cotton dress ended with an exclamation of red ruffles on its hem
