The Poker Face singer – famed for her wacky outfits – hopes to land a job at one of America’s top fashion colleges.



And she reckons her outlandish style makes her perfect for the role.



A source revealed: “She is planning a radical career shift after she wraps up her Monster Ball tour next spring.



“She wants to use her famous fashion sense and avant-garde art obsession to launch an academic career.”



The 24-year-old star is said to have applied for a job as a lecturer at New York City’s famous Parsons School for Design.



“Nothing has been finalized yet,” an insider told a US magazine.



“But she has pitched herself for an artist-in-residence position.



“She would like to teach in the

fashion-design programme and wants to incorporate elements of music

study, popular culture and media studies.”



Gaga hit headlines in September when she turned up at a music awards show in a dress made out of raw meat.



A representative for Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, was unavailable for comment.



The news comes after the University of South Carolina in America launched a course called “Lady Gaga and the Sociology of Fame”.
