halfway between an ancient Greek goddess and a modern comic strip heroine, Elena Leone’s woman is covered in fabric flowers without any factiousness. The shapes are soft but sculptural at the same time and they explore an absolutely basic colour palette, with no concessions to prints. Maximum attention is given to sartorial details: geometric petal shoulders, edges squeezed by belts to obtain a corolla effect, sculpted sleeves and tops that become cloaks
